RoadMatic 3-Year Warranty
Tenneco warrants to the original purchaser that RoadMatic™ strut assemblies purchased from authorized Tenneco dealers are free from defects in material and workmanship for three years from the date of purchase when installed on passenger cars and light vehicles by a professional automotive service provider for personal use under normal operating conditions.
Tenneco's obligation under this warranty is limited to the replacement of the worn-out or defective product with a new unit of the same part number. If the part number has been superseded or discontinued, Tenneco reserves the right to provide a comparable replacement unit at its discretion. Costs of removal, installation, diagnostics or other labor are not included. This warranty has no cash value and is not transferrable to any subsequent purchaser of the product or vehicle on which the product was installed. This warranty does not apply to: (i) products which have been installed on non-catalogued applications; (ii) products which have been misused, modified, altered, improperly applied, not used in the intended manner or damaged in an accident; (iii) products which have been installed on vehicles used for commercial or racing purposes; (iv) products which were purchased from an unauthorized reseller; or (v) products whose purchase date is beyond the three-year time period outlined above. Purchases made through unauthorized distributors or resellers do not qualify for this limited warranty, including products purchased via online reselling resources such as eBay, Craiglist, and similar sites.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Any implied warranties you may have under state law are limited to the same duration as this warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusion may not apply to you. This limited warranty shall be governed by, and to be interpreted and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Illinois, U.S.A., excluding the conflicts of law provisions that would cause the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction.

To make a warranty claim:
- You must be the original purchaser of the qualifying Tenneco products. This limited warranty is void if the products were not originally purchased by the individual making the claim.
- Return the worn-out or defective product to the dealer or retailer from whom it was purchased for verification and exchange under this warranty.
- Present the original retail proof of purchase (e.g. receipt or Bill of Sale) for the qualifying product evidencing purchase from an authorized distributor and installation by a professional automotive service provider. The proof of purchase must identify the part number, date of purchase and other customer information. (A copy of your proof of purchase will need to be submitted with the warranty claim documentation).
- Tenneco reserves the right to substantiate all documentation submitted and to reject altered, fraudulent or incomplete proof of purchase.
